Buy The Posh Polestar 1 Before Production Ends This Year

The Swedish automaker Polestar introduced their first offering Polestar 1 to get the world’s attention. The performance-oriented hybrid grand tourer garnered more than just the awareness and helped Volvo’s sub-brand venture into the all-electric territory with the Polestar 2. But, as the hybrid has completed its course, it is time to say goodbye. The car now enters in its final production run. 

Yesterday, Polestar declared that the cars in the final production run are accessible for customers. Those who have deep pockets and love the looks of this high-performance 619 hp hybrid should act now to get their hands on this luxury car.

The Polestar 1 took its inspiration from a Volvo concept coupe, which was introduced at the 2013 Frankfurt auto show. When Volvo decided to transform its performance division into a full EV automaker, they used that concept as a model to create the Polestar 1 hybrid.

Of note, the Polestar 1 is an expensive car with price starting from $156,500. With this price, it could never be a mass-market product. The automaker decided to develop 1,500 units over three years.

The U.S. was destined to get only 375 units, making it one of the most exclusive hybrids in the country. The same goes for other parts of the world.
