2022 Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer To Feature Amazon Fire TV
The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will come with Amazon Fire TV capability once it goes on sale in mid-2021. At this year’s CES, Amazon declared that it has collaborated with Stellantis, Jeep’s parent firm, and BMW to bring this streaming service on passenger screens. Amazon Fire TV for Auto will be an optional feature. The production version of the three-row luxury SUV will debut on March 11.
The Fire TV encompasses streaming of Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Twitch and other entertainment channels. While the Wagoneer concept vehicle had a significant number of displays, we do not believe they all will make it to the production model. However, as many would come, they will all be able to use the Fire TV service, including the 10.3 inches front passenger's screen and 10.1 inches rear passenger displays.
The Wagoneer will feature privacy glass that restricts the driver from watching the content. However, in park mode, the driver can watch the content on the 12.1-inch center display. It is the Tesla-like feature that allows driver viewing in park mode only. The Wagoneer owners will also benefit from saving specific content for later viewing.
Amazon Fire TV comes with a remote with the capability to use voice commands for using Alexa. The remote is equally efficient to manage climate settings, maps, and other infotainment operations.
The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and loaded Grand Wagoneer will cost about $60,000 and $100,000, respectively. The less comfy Wagoneer will compete against Chevrolet and GMC's offerings, while the Grand Wagoneer will rival the likes of Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator.
