Futuristic Hyundai Staria Minivan Will Go Into Production
Meet Hyundai Staria, an all-new minivan concept boasting futuristic and cute looks. The good news is it will go into production, and it can seat two, seven, nine, or eleven passengers. The bad news is its availability in select markets only.
Looking at the Hyundai Staria, we find it has similarities with a spaceship. The automaker designed it like this purposely. The side profile imitates the halo observed on the earth from space during sunrise.
The front looks gorgeous, with a light bar extending the entire width of the vehicle. It has a wide-open grille featuring two contemporary-looking headlights with eight cubes on both sides. At the back, we find thin taillights extending up almost at the bottom of the vehicle toward the roof.
Customers can have the Staria in multiple seating layouts, from two to eleven. The two-seat model will obviously serve customers looking to use this van for cargo hauling. The seven-seater model will have reclining second-row seats. The nine-seat model will have revolving second-row seats to face passengers in the third row.
On the inside, it features a digital gauge cluster and a 10.3-inch touchscreen sticking out of the dashboard. The van offers ambient lighting in 64 colors and knobs to put it in park, drive, or reverse mode.
The automaker did not provide any information about the powertrains. That will come later this year. It might not reach the U.S. shores, Hyundai confirmed to Car and Driver.
