2021 Kia Stonic Price and Specs Revealed for Australian Markets

Kia Australia has announced the pricing details of the 2021 Kia Stonic. The compact SUV will be accessible in two trim levels, namely the Stonic Sport starting at $24,990, and the top-of-the-line Stonic GT-Line costing $29,990. Both these are drive-away prices. The least expensive variant ‘S’ will be on sale later this year.

Talking about the powertrain, the Sport boasts a 1.4-litre petrol four-cylinder engine generating 74kW of power at 6,000rpm and 133Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. It will deliver 6.7 litres per 100 kilometres while emitting 155 grams of CO2 per kilometre. The power goes to the front wheels via a six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic.

The Stonic GT-Line is powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder mill yielding 74kW at 4,500-6,000rpm and 172Nm at 1,500-4,000rpm, offering 5.4L/100km fuel economy rating at 125g/km of CO2. It exclusively mates to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Regarding the interior amenities, the Stonic Sport features an 8.0-inch infotainment screen with satellite navigation and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, various Bluetooth ports, rear-view parking camera and sensors, six-speaker sound system, keyless entry, push-button start, high-beam assist, cruise control, two USB and two 12-volt chargers, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and a 60:40 split-folding rear seat.

The Stonic GT-Line has everything mentioned above plus premium black upholstery, sports steering wheel, alloy sports pedals, automatic climate control, and a tilt-and-slide sunroof.

Kia has ensured the safety of occupants through autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist recognition, lane-keep assist, lane-following assist, driver attention alert, leading vehicle departure alert, hill-start assist, speed-sensing auto door locks, two Isofix positions, and front, side, and curtain airbags.
